Ways to avoid affecting water meter accuracy
To avoid the water meter accuracy being affected, scientific measures need to be taken from multiple links such as production, installation, use, and daily maintenance. The specific methods are as follows:

Adopt high-precision manufacturing technology: In the process of water meter production, precision machining technology is used to ensure the dimensional accuracy and assembly accuracy of core components such as movement, impeller, and metering chamber, and reduce the metering deviation caused by part errors.
Strict quality inspection: Multi-dimensional inspection is carried out on each water meter before leaving the factory, including metering error test and pressure resistance test at different flow rates, to ensure compliance with national measurement standards and eliminate unqualified products.

Correctly select the installation location: Avoid installing the water meter in an environment susceptible to vibration, high temperature, low temperature, humidity or corrosive gas erosion. Vibration may cause loosening of components such as the impeller, and drastic temperature changes may affect the physical properties of the internal components of the water meter, thereby affecting the metering accuracy.
Standardized installation process: Ensure that the water meter is placed horizontally during installation to avoid tilting; ensure good sealing when connecting the pipe to prevent water leakage or air intake, and avoid affecting the metering due to unstable water flow. At the same time, sufficient straight pipe sections should be reserved before and after the water meter to reduce the impact of water flow disturbance on accuracy.
Avoid overload: The water meter has its rated flow range. Long-term use under conditions exceeding the maximum flow will accelerate the wear of internal parts and lead to reduced accuracy. The water meter of appropriate specifications should be selected according to the water demand, and the instantaneous high pressure and large flow shock in the pipeline should be avoided.

Regular inspection and calibration: Impurities in the water may adhere to the water meter impeller or metering chamber, affecting its normal rotation and causing inaccurate measurement. Therefore, water meters need to be inspected regularly; at the same time, according to national regulations, water meters need to be regularly inspected to detect and correct accuracy deviations in a timely manner.
