I. Performance Characteristics

High Metering Accuracy: Utilizing a rotary piston or nutating disc metering mechanism, they achieve high-precision metering by sequentially filling and discharging a fixed-volume chamber. Their measurement range (Q3/Q1) is typically greater than 160, with some reaching 500, significantly exceeding that of other types of water meters, such as rotary vane meters.

Low Starting Flow: With a starting flow rate typically of 3-4 L/h, they can accurately measure extremely low flow rates and are suitable for applications sensitive to low flow rates, such as direct drinking water metering or industrial water addition and dosing.

Strong Installation Adaptability: They can be installed horizontally, vertically, or at an angle. They are insensitive to pipeline hydraulic disturbances and do not require strict requirements for the length of the straight pipe section, making them highly convenient to install.

Clear Reading: The counting mechanism often uses a liquid-sealed design, with the dial reading sealed with a corrosion-resistant liquid to isolate it from water, making it unaffected by water quality and maintaining clear visibility over time. Some models feature an LCD display, which can simultaneously display both accumulated and instantaneous flow.

Strong Anti-Interference Ability: It is shielded from magnetic interference and insensitive to water pressure fluctuations. It will not rotate due to changes in pipe pressure, resulting in excellent measurement stability.

High Water Quality Requirements: Due to its sophisticated internal structure, it requires stringent water cleanliness standards and is suitable for pipe networks with high water quality, such as purified water or direct drinking water metering.

Low Maintenance Cost: The lack of complex electronic components and simple mechanical structure result in a low failure rate and relatively low maintenance costs. Some models feature built-in filters and check valves to filter impurities and prevent water backflow.

II. Usage Conditions:

Water pressure not exceeding 1.0 MPa, cold water meters not exceeding 30°C, and hot water meters not exceeding 90°C.

Maximum Allowable Error in Low Range: The maximum allowable error in the volume discharged at a flow rate between the minimum flow rate (Q1) and the cutoff flow rate (Q2) (excluding Q2) is ±5%. Maximum allowable error in high zone: The maximum allowable error of the discharge volume between the boundary flow (Q2) (including Q2) and the overload flow (Q4) is ±2%.
