When installing, the water meter should be kept horizontal. The front of the smart water meter faces up. There will be an arrow on the shell of the smart water meter. When installing, please pay attention to the direction of the water flow and the direction the arrow points to. Smart water meters are not suitable for installation in places with direct sunlight, flooding or severe pollution. Smart water meters require meter reading, so of course, when installing, you must pay attention to convenient disassembly and meter reading. To avoid water meter failure, be sure to clean up all debris when installing new pipes.

Valves should be installed before and after the smart water meter to control the water flow. When using a smart water meter, both valves should be opened. In addition to installing valves, straight pipes should be installed upstream and downstream. This section of straight pipe is very necessary, and there are certain requirements for the length of the straight pipe. The upstream pipe is required to be less than 10D, and the downstream pipe is required to be less than 5D.

Another factor to consider when installing a water meter is the metering accuracy of the smart water meter. To ensure accurate metering, the downstream pipe should be installed more than 0.5 meters above the water meter. In addition, if there is debris in the water pipe, it is easy to cause inaccurate metering, so pay more attention in normal use, and clean up any debris as soon as possible.
