Gas meter maintenance tips

1. The gas meter is not waterproof. Once water enters the meter body, the internal parts will be damaged, affecting the normal measurement and possibly causing the risk of gas leakage. Therefore, the surrounding environment of the gas meter should be naturally ventilated and kept dry.

2. Like the gas pipeline, the gas meter has a strong appearance and a fragile interior. Therefore, it is strictly forbidden to hang objects on the gas meter, otherwise the joints may loosen and cause gas leakage.

3. If there are stains on the gas meter, you can wipe it gently with a wet wipe and detergent. Do not flush it directly with water, let alone corrosive liquids of strong acids and alkalis.

4. When the display screen reminds that the battery is low, please replace the battery in time; if you find that the gas meter has damaged parts, and the pointer stops, is too slow or too fast, etc., please be sure to contact the gas company professionals for operation, and do not disassemble the gas meter privately.

5. Dust-proof leather strip: For the card-insertion gas meter, the leather strip must be pulled open before inserting the card, and the leather strip must be reset after completing the gas transmission according to the correct card insertion method. Nowadays, the card insertion port of the gas meter is equipped with a cover. Be sure to close the cover after each recharge to prevent oil smoke from entering and contacting and oxidizing the components inside the meter, causing poor contact.
